I am loving...

Well starting off by saying I am loving... is a little bit of a lie as I have only seen the trailer for the film. I am however hoping to be able to see it very soon.

DRESSED is the inspiring story of self-taught clothing designer Nary Manivong. Homeless at 14, Nary pursues his dream of showing his collection at New York's Fashion Week. Nary's story shows the strength of the human spirit as he navigates through one of the toughest businesses to achieve his goal -- the one joy that brings him hope in the face of hardship. The film features commentary from industry experts, celebrities and fashion press, who discuss what it's really like to make it in the world of fashion.

I am loving...

The United Nude 'Lo Res' shoe.
This beautiful shoe is part of an new semi-automatic design method by United Nude where an object is digitially scanned into a 3-D computer model and re-generated into various resolutions. The Lo Res shoe is part of an automated design revolution.

Not sure how comfortable they would be but how cool do they look?

Other shoes by Unite Nude are
Eamz Mary Jane: conceptually inspired by a furniture design classic; the Charles and Ray Eames chair. The United Nude Eamz shoe is an ode to their vision.

Cosmo: plays with gravity and tension and achieves what looks to be an impossible construction by using high-tech materials. Ultra light-weight hand molded carbon fiber that is extremely strong is the secret to this piece of sexy architecture for your foot.

Helix: conceived from the idea of wrapping an object, in this case the foot. The curves and movement of the elastic material give the shoe its identity and emphasize the shape.

I am loving...

What can only be described as every girls dream - a site where you can design your own shoes and then have them custom made and sent to your door!

Shoes of Prey creates beautiful bespoke women's shoes, designed online by you.
You choose the heel, toe, fabric, colour and embellishments and then expert craftsmen make your shoes to measure, swaddle them in a soft dust bag and crisp new box, and ship them straight to your waiting feet!
I am in love...

So how does one come up with such a great idea? Desire.
'Whether you're poring over a glossy magazine, clicking onto your favourite fashion blog, or lusting after a girlfriend's most recent stiletto purchase, we all know that the spark of shoe-desire takes just a moment to take hold, and then the need to find that perfect shoe is intoxicating.'

The journey to find the perfect shoe is often a long one that ends in compromise - the kind that makes you contemplate making an offer to the girl at the next table to sell you the shoes right off her feet.

Being too familiar with the long days of shopping that accompany the usually disappointing search for the perfect shoes, the great people at Shoes of Prey sought out a solution to this conundrum - they tracked down a team of highly skilled artisans dedicated to crafting shoes just the way they liked them, made friends, and now bring the solution to everyone!
