Item I can't live without this week

This weeks item I can't live with out is this cool looking coffee cup you can re-use again and again and again.
The BYO cup is made from silicone. It’s firm but flexible, light-weight but tough, and will withstand 200C heat and it's pretty much indestructible. Which means it won’t contribute to the mountain of discarded disposable coffee cups shoved into landfill, that will never decompose because of their polymer lining.
Make the change like I have and help save the planet, one coffee at a time.

A Room of One's Own

Over the last couple of months I have been thinking about this phrase and effect it is having on my life. In four months time I will marry the man of my dreams and relocate from my family home into his.

This is fine until I started living part time in my new home. I started to think about where all my possesions where going to be stored. Would there be a room which I could decorate and call my own? Somewhere where I could relax and unwind, but also be creative on weekends?

Moving in with a partner who has lived their whole adult life by themselves is an interesting situation. They have already filled all the rooms of their house with things that are special to them and have started collections that take up entire rooms! My partners being a whole room dedicated to Holden Model Cars. Every surface is covered in his stuff - so where is my stuff going to go?

The proposed plan is to renovate and extend the house, however this is a few years off still. This will create a studio for me to work in and have as my own.

But what does one do in the mean time? And how do you create your own space in a shared environment?
